At 11:42 PM, 7/17/2009, my neighbor knocked on my door. It was unusual because it was really late so I thought it was an emergency.

She said "Sorry to bother you so late, but my husband is in the backyard looking at some weird lights in the sky and thought you might want to see them too."

I then said "Ok, I'm out back right now."

I then opened up my sliding glass door to go to the lanai, and I looked up in the eastern sky at about 45 degrees, or the 1 o'clock position, and saw a triangular object in the sky moving from left to right, and back left, and up and down and it surely didn't look like anything I've ever seen in my life.

I then ran back into the house to wake up my wife, who is the biggest UFO skeptic that I know, and said, "Wake up! Wake up! You've got to come outside and see this thing!"

She said "No, I have to go to sleep, I have to work in the morning!"

I preceded to say "You have to see this thing in the sky, just trust me, you have to come out and see this!"

I then looked for our camera, a Casio Exilim 10.1 mega pixel camera, and went back outside with my dog and started recording footage of this thing in the sky. I walked over to my neighbor's house and the three of us watched this thing for 2 and a half hours.

My neighbor had binoculars and a telescope, but it was easier to use the binoculars to see the silhouette of this object. It was moving in different patterns, but generally stayed in the eastern sky moving from left to right in a pendulum type pattern, but it would also moved westward a little bit, but remained at the 1 o'clock to 1:30 position in the sky.

If you held a dime towards the sky, the size was a little smaller than the dime. It seemed to be about 1000-3000 feet in the sky hovering over I-75 near SR 54. The feeling I felt was "what the heck is that?"

We sat on some chairs and watched this thing for a couple hours. I started to feel really sleepy so I went back inside the house to go to sleep, but I kept checking out my window because I wanted to see where this thing will go once it's done hovering over Wesley Chapel, FL.

I found my other battery that was fully charged, so I went back outside for a few more minutes and filmed one more video. I don't know what we saw, but it wasn't a plane.

Matter of fact, we saw 2 planes fly by that night, one was flying from East to Southwest. We heard the sounds of the engines as it came closer to us, and as it flew past us. The sounds were evident even when the plane seemed to be further to us than the triangular object in the sky.

The next plane flew past us from South to North, and you could also hear it as it flew past us. But this object made no sounds at all. The night sky was very clear, and there was no or very little wind that night.

RESIDENTS in a Highland village were left terrified by a UFO sighting which lasted TWO hours. The bizarre sightings began at 11pm on Saturday and the spectacular show in the sky above Muir of Ord, Ross-shire ended at 1 am.

Residents watched in awe as three bright orange dome-shaped objects hovered then flew at high speed in random spirals closer and closer to the village.

Last night leading expert Nick Pope said: "This could be one of the most significant UFO events in recent history. "Sightings like this are hugely significant because they are very rare."

"Most UFOs are seen by single witnesses so it's very difficult to get any proof. For whole streets of people to see something is almost without precedent and this sounds like one of the most significant UFO events in recent history.

"It's also very unusual for a UFO to be seen for such a long time. Most are very brief.

Care worker Sandra Robertson, 45, said: "It was weird and scary. But at the same time if they came back I'd like to watch them again.

"The whole street was out with cameras and binoculars. "Folk were coming out the pub and telephoning home about what they were seeing in the sky. "It's been the talk of the place ever since it happened. "It's the sort of thing we'll remember all our lives. It's so difficult to describe because it was like nothing anyone had ever seen before. "The objects were sort of dome shaped and bright, bright orange."

"They were hovering for up to five minutes at a time then they would move really, really fast across the sky. "At first they seemed very far away but they got closer and closer."

Her husband, Henry, 47, who along with daughter Jolene, 23, filmed the UFOs, said: "You'd have had to see it to believe it. "I'm 47 and I've seen a lot of things and come through a lot but this was scary."

"It was no Loch Ness monster-type sighting. People all over the village are talking about it. "There must be some explanation and I'd love to hear what it is.

An RAF spokesman at Lossiemouth said there had been no reports that required a response on Saturday night.

He added: "Usually there are innocent explanations for these things."

On the morning or January 8, 2001 at about 3:30 a.m. I slowly woke up lying on my stomach. 1st - I NEVER lie on my stomach because of back problems, and 2 surgeries that cause me constant pain even when lying on my stomach. When I woke up, it was kind of like I was looking through jello or water or something. I had no pain at all, kind of numb all over and was unable to move. I could open and close my eyes but that is all. I tried to move my fingers of my hands and was unable to do so. I also felt like my body was vibrating. I tried to move my hands to help me turn over but could not even move when I tried. I couldn't say anything when I tried to call to my wolves, Bear and Cherokee. I'd had them since they were cubs, Bear at 4 1/2 weeks and Cherokee at 8 weeks. Bear was born in 1988 so he was 3 years old at this time. What scared me even more was the fact that I felt like I was going to pass out or go to sleep again and was afraid that if I did I would die. Very gradually I started to be able to move and after about 15 minutes I was able to turn over onto my back but I could not yet set up. I rubbed my face and hands because they were tingling. I was soon able to sit up on the side of the bed and when I could, I went to the window both Bear and Cherokee were lying on their sides asleep. I thought this was unusual because they would more often than not, sleep curled up but through the years they have been sleeping more on their sides like dogs rather than wolves. Bear and Cherokee seemed kind of groggy when I talked to them and even when I had gotten dressed and went to work, they still remained 'snoozing' stretched out on their sides.

The only signs I had on my body, that I could find, was a spot on the forefinger of my right hand where it looked like some small suction cup had drawn blood or something and on my right knee there was a small patch of skin that had been removed. That patch didn't look bloody or scraped and it wasn't sore.

I don't remember any lights of any kind during this episode, but I do remember a very soft and constant hum. I don't remember how long this lasted and I don't remember any lights in my room or outside my window, etc.

I had mentioned this to only 2 other people who I thought were friends and they both told me I was crazy or had a nightmare. I don't know what happened during the 'lost time' but I do know I'm not crazy and it was no nightmare. BUT - If it had been an alien visitation, I would have gone willingly and would so today. I have had 2 other episodes of waking up feeling like I had been gone for a couple of hours or so but nothing new or different than the 1st time that I know of.

See - I told you it would sound like I was crazy but I sure would like to know what happened on January 8th, 2001 at the time between goind to bed and waking up about 3:30 a.m.

What's the proper conversation starter when greeting an alien?

How about, "This is Earth speaking. We would like to know you. Please reply."

Less graciously but perhaps more honestly, you might offer, "Down here we are all confused."

And by the way, if you do come for a visit, please "don't kidnap us and poke us. We hate that."

These are all authentic, if occasionally crack-brained, suggestions for how we might go about opening a dialogue with an alien civilization.

During the last few decades, the search for life beyond our planet has focused almost exclusively on trying to find a signal in space from an intelligent civilization. Such searches are becoming increasingly sophisticated.

The SETI Institute, the world's best-known organization dedicated to the search for alien life, recently unveiled plans to scan a million stars over 10 billion communication channels at its Hat Creek radio telescope facility north of Sacramento.

Now, the private Bay Area organization has launched a companion project called Earth Speaks that asks space enthusiasts around the world to think about what we should say when, or if, we finally get that cosmic phone call.

"Most conversations about this subject until now have been among academics," said Douglas Vakoch, who is heading up the new effort at SETI, which stands for the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence. "We want to really expand the discussion."

Center director Jill Tarter, a lifelong alien hunter on whom the Ellie Arroway character from the movie "Contact" was based, said there is no simple answer. But it is vital, she said, that there be a global consensus on what we say and do before it happens.

Based on the first few hundred suggestions collected by the Earth Speaks website, that consensus might be elusive. So far, the messages break down into a few distinct categories. Some people want to throw a block party to welcome the aliens to the neighborhood. Others, less trusting, would warn the aliens that we've got guns and know how to use them.

Another group, possibly influenced by having seen too many movies, would have us hide under the bed until they go away. "If we discover intelligent life beyond Earth, we should not reply -- we should freeze and play dead," wrote one contributor.

There is a fourth category of people who refuse to take the whole idea seriously. One tongue-in-cheek writer suggests we broadcast, "There's nothing to see here. Move along."

SETI has no plans to actually send the messages into space. Vakoch said that before anything like that is undertaken, it should be subject to international discussion.

The first serious effort to contact intelligent life outside Earth was made in 1974, using the big radio telescope at Arecibo, Puerto Rico. The three-minute transmission by a group at Cornell University attempted to describe Earth and its inhabitants in binary code.

Over the last few years, a Russian group has sent greetings in Russian and English to targeted stars in our galactic neighborhood, generating a major dust-up in the small but passionate SETI community. Critics say the Russians are acting out of turn, without asking permission to open what would amount to diplomatic relations with another civilization. The problem is that nobody has the authority to grant permission.

Some observers say there is no need for us to broadcast a message. We're already doing that in the form of leakage into space of our radio and television signals. Those signals, however, are much too weak to travel far. A coordinated communications effort would require a powerful transmitter, a highly focused beam and a receiver pointed in the right direction.

Tarter acknowledged that there is plenty of reason to be cautious about replying to an alien signal.

"We're in an asymmetric position," she said. "We don't know if there are other civilizations out there, but if there are, we can be pretty sure we are the youngest." And, therefore, the most vulnerable.

Earthlings have had the technology to broadcast and receive electromagnetic waves for about a century. But the galaxy has been around for billions of years.

Any civilization that contacts us is likely to be much older.

"As the new kids on the block, we should listen first" and reply later, Tarter said.

Wish Fulfillment? No. But Dreams Do Have Meaning

Dreams may not be the secret window into the frustrated desires of the unconscious that Sigmund Freud first posited in 1899, but growing evidence suggests that dreams — and, more so, sleep — are powerfully connected to the processing of human emotions.
According to new research presented last week at the annual meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies in Seattle, adequate sleep may underpin our ability to understand complex emotions properly in waking life. "Sleep essentially is resetting the magnetic north of your emotional compass," says Matthew Walker, director of the Sleep and Neuroimaging Lab at the University of California, Berkeley. A recent study by Walker and his colleagues examined how rest — specifically, rapid eye movement (REM) sleep — influences our ability to read emotions in other people's faces. In the small analysis of 36 adults, volunteers were asked to interpret the facial expressions of people in photographs, following either a 60- or 90-minute nap during the day or with no nap. Participants who had reached REM sleep (when dreaming most frequently occurs) during their nap were better able to identify expressions of positive emotions like happiness in other people, compared with participants who did not achieve REM sleep or did not nap at all. Those volunteers were more sensitive to negative expressions, including anger and fear.

Past research by Walker and colleagues at Harvard Medical School, which was published in the journal Current Biology, found that in people who were sleep deprived, activity in the prefrontal lobe — a region of the brain involved in controlling emotion — was significantly diminished. He suggests that a similar response may be occurring in the nap-deprived volunteers, albeit to a lesser extent, and that it may have its roots in evolution. "If you're walking through the jungle and you're tired, it might benefit you more to be hypersensitive to negative things," he says. The idea is that with little mental energy to spare, you're emotionally more attuned to things that are likely to be the most threatening in the immediate moment. Inversely, when you're well rested, you may be more sensitive to positive emotions, which could benefit long-term survival, he suggests: "If it's getting food, if it's getting some kind of reward, finding a wife — those things are pretty good to pick up on." Our daily existence is largely influenced by our ability "to understand our societal interactions, to understand someone else's emotional state of mind, to understand the expression on their face," says Ninad Gujar, a senior research scientist at Walker's lab and lead author of the study, which was recently submitted for publication. "These are the most fundamental processes guiding our personal and professional lives."

REM sleep appears to not only improve our ability to identify positive emotions in others; it may also round out the sharp angles of our own emotional experiences. Walker suggests that one function of REM sleep — dreaming, in particular — is to allow the brain to sift through that day's events, process any negative emotion attached to them, then strip it away from the memories. He likens the process to applying a "nocturnal soothing balm." REM sleep, he says, "tries to ameliorate the sharp emotional chips and dents that life gives you along the way." "It's not that you've forgotten. You haven't," he says. "It's a memory of an emotional episode, but it's no longer emotional itself."

That palliative safety-valve quality of sleep may be hampered when we fail to reach REM sleep or when REM sleep is disrupted, Walker says. "If you don't let go of the emotion, what results is a constant state of anxiety," he says.

The theory is consistent with new research conducted by Rebecca Bernert, a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at Florida State University who specializes in the relationship between sleep and suicidal thoughts and behaviors, and who also presented her work at the sleep conference this week.

In her study of 82 men and women between the ages of 18 and 66 who were admitted into a mental-health hospital for emergency psychiatric evaluation, Bernert discovered that the presence of severe and frequent nightmares or insomnia was a strong predictor of suicidal thoughts and behaviors. More than half of the study participants had attempted suicide at least once in the past, and the 17% of the study group who had made an attempt within the previous month had dramatically higher scores in nightmare frequency and intensity than the rest. Bernert found that the relationship between nightmares or insomnia and suicide persisted, even when researchers controlled for other factors like depression. Past studies have also established a link between chronic sleep disruption and suicide. Sleep complaints, which include nightmares, insomnia and other sleep disturbances, are listed in the current Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's inventory of suicide-prevention warning signs. Yet what distinguishes Bernert's research is that when nightmares and insomnia were evaluated separately, nightmares were independently predictive of suicidal behavior. "It may be that nightmares present a unique risk for suicidal symptoms, which may have to do with the way we process emotion within dreams," Bernert says.

If that's the case, it may help explain the recurring nightmares that characterize psychiatric conditions like posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Walker says. "The brain has not stripped away the emotional rind from that experience memory," he says, so "the next night, the brain offers this up, and it fails again, and it starts to sound like a broken record ... What you hear [PTSD] patients describing is, 'I can't get over the event.' "

At the biological level, Walker explains, the "emotional rind" translates to sympathetic nervous-system activity during sleep: faster heart rate and the release of stress chemicals. Understanding why nightmares recur and how REM sleep facilitates emotional processing — or hinders it, when nightmares take place and perpetuate the physical stress symptoms — may eventually provide clues to effective treatments of painful mental disorders. Perhaps, even, by simply addressing sleeping habits, doctors could potentially interrupt the emotional cycle that can lead to suicide. "There is an opportunity for prevention," Bernert says.

The new findings highlight what researchers are increasingly recognizing as a two-way relationship between psychiatric disorders and disrupted sleep. "Modern medicine and psychiatry have consistently thought that psychological disorders seem to have co-occuring sleep problems and that it's the disorder perpetuating the sleep problems," says Walker. "Is it possible that, in fact, it's the sleep disruption contributing to the psychiatric disorder?"

UFOs: WHAT YOU'RE NOT TOLD

While most UFOs are known to be light emitting or light absorbing objects seen moving about the sky no satisfactory explanation has ever emerged to explain them. They have been labelled hoaxes, imagination and misinterpretation which in some cases has been proven true. But there are those that defy any rational explanation and after fifty years of diligent investigation the enigma remains unresolved.

Those in the UFO community blame government cover-ups for this lack of progress and include the media for following the government line. But the public has long ago lost interest in reports of fleeting UFO events which rarely last long enough to be properly investigated. When investigators do arrive and are equipped to gather samples of affected materials for laboratory analysis, the process can take weeks before the results are known and the media has other assignments.

An example of this was played out during the invasion of the crop circles in England in the late 8Os and ended in a fiasco when the reporters found two pensioners who claimed they had created all of the circles in England. They said they downed a few drinks in a local pub then used a board and rope to make the circles in some farm field before going home. The tabloids spread the story around the world and the public was satisfied with a solution that didn't involve crop-fax messages from other worlds or the earth itself as proposed by some.

But the laboratory analysis of the affected plant and soil samples gathered at circles sites proved otherwise. When Dr. Levengood of the Pinewoods Laboratory, who had carried out some of the analysis, was asked if he thought the circles were hoaxes he replied, "If people had energy able to affect the plants and soil in this way they wouldn't be squandering it in farm fields." He added, "It's a type of energy I've never come across." The analysis had revealed that plants and soil had been altered on the atomic and molecular level by an outside source able to alter the material's time, matter and gravity in ways not known to science. In the light-emitting phase it was able to expend thousands of watts of energy over long periods and the source of that energy is still unknown.

Also missed by the media were the reports of those who visited these event sites days or weeks later and suffered headaches, nausea and disorientation and had to leave. This includes animal mutilation, crop circles and UFO landing sites. This suggests some form of persisting radiation continues to come from the site and most animals, including predators, seem to sense a danger and will refuse to even approach these affected areas.

Further evidence was demonstrated dramatically when a BBC crew did a TV interview with the English investigator Pat Delgado at a two-week old crop circle. Each time Pat stepped inside the centre of the circle the TV sound technician outside the wide circle yanked the phones off his ears because of a loud warbling sound being radiated while Pat was inside the circle and Pat shouted that he could feel the vibrations in his body.

Others have not been as lucky. In 1967 a Manitoba prospector suffered a cribbage board-like pattern of burn spots across his chest from radiation emitted by a landed UFO and spent months in hospital. In 1967 the bodies of two Italian fishermen drowned in the Adriatic were found to have a similar pattern of burn spots on their bodies after their boat had been sunk by a UFO. In l980 two Texas women experienced undefined skin burns, falling hair and skin sores after their encounter with a UFO while driving down a highway late one night.

Most bizarre are the claims of miraculous physical healing and transformations experienced by those who have been targeted by beams of light from UFOs or had close encounters with these aerial objects. Typical were the l970s... claims of a French doctor who was cured of old war wounds and a policeman who was instantly healed of an alligator bite on his arm when the wounded arm was struck by a beam of light from a nearby UFO. Those involved in these encounters often claim to have acquired heightened psychic abilities from the event and the claims of healing parallel the healing reported at religious shrines and the remissions have been proven by physical tests and past hospital records.

Stranger still are the personality changes experienced by some. There are a good number of cases where longtime investigators or accidental observers have found their lives dramatically changed by the encounter. Some seek a new role in life where they are more giving and drawn closer to their religious beliefs. Often the sudden change can break up the family and the experiencer will move to a distant location to follow their new role.

The fact that these radiations can and do invade the wavelengths used by the human brain seems obvious from the reports on file showing that these aerial objects can change their shape and form to comply with the observer's belief and expectation. What you believe and expect is what you get, whether that is a devil or a deity. Its the Merlin Factor that leads many to think that these UFOs are under intelligent guidance by beings with well developed psychic abilities.

Dr Michael Persinger of Laurentian University has made a long-time study of the human brain and links these personality changes to micro-seizures in the human brain. The changes, he proposes, are due to bursts of radiation emitted by electrical flows generated by geologic pressures on the crystalline structures of rock deep inside the earth. He believes these energies erupting into the atmosphere invade wavelengths used by the human brain and are well capable of altering human personality. While his colleagues disagree with many parts of his proposals there can be no doubt that Persinger's approach is more practical than belief in evil aliens. In fact the earth seems a more likely source of such natural phenomena.

In articles for scientific journals he demonstrated how these erupting energies could invade the human mind and entrain specific mental wavelengths to produce horrific nightmares. His measurements of these unknown energies were made and recorded on sophisticated scientific equipment which he had installed in an apartment where those sleeping in adjoining bedrooms reported similar reoccurring nightmares and the apartment sits atop a well known branch of a major fault cutting through the area�.

If such a discharge able to expend thousands of watts of energy, as reported in some cases, then erupting from the earth directly under an animal while the animal is standing, it might hold the animal paralyzed and immobile while the surging energy seriously damaged its underside. If the energy disintegrates and invades the carcass before venting out through the throat or rectum, it might destroy vital organs along the way. As with the affected plants and soil, it might rob the blood of iron, or extract selected mineral elements from internal organs turning them into mush. It might even levitate the carcass into the air and carry it along for some distance before breaking free and allowing the carcass to fall back to earth.

Many of the veterinarians who have analysed the condition of the carcasses of mutilated animals refute the claims that predators or devil cultists are responsible for the killings. They find the animal's internal organs and blood to have been robbed of essential mineral elements in ways parallelling the altered soil and plants at crop circle and UFO burn ring sites.

While most qualified scientists refuse to become involved in UFO events to protect their reputations or due to a lack of funds, those few who have explored the evidence on site or on file and have investigated the events have publicly stated their belief that the subject holds great potential. Dr. Allen Hynek who devoted years to the subject said that the solution to the UFO enigma could provide rich rewards. Others have said the energy behind the UFO phenomena could provide a quantum leap for science and open
the way to a whole new technology.

Like electricity, electronics and chemistry and their hazards, knowledge and ingenuity taught us safe ways to make use of natures forces for their benefits. If the energies behind UFO5 can provide ways to overcome gravity and alter time and matter in ways that seem impossible today, then these could be the basis for a whole new technology in the coming millennium. It would be 3MT, 3rd Millennium Technology. It would eliminate highways and bridges, dramatically change physical healing and open new roads to the stars.

For those in Southern Ontario with an interest in UFO5 watching and other mysterious events, the best location is anywhere along the north shore of Lake Ontario. Since the earliest of times this area, about a mile from shore, has been the site of numerous sightings of UFOs, sea serpents, ghostly burning vessels or crashed aircraft. Here ships have vanished from sight, people and planes have strangely disappeared and the area has a record for UFO sightings which have been photographed and videotaped. On the night of April 6, 1999, a report was phoned in by an observer on the bluffs who had watched a plane crash into the water near Bluffers Park. As in past years

With that sort of record it should not be a surprise that the Canadian Geological Society has finally admitted that this area is the location of a huge geologic fault that stretches from the St Lawrence River to Ohio. In some places the bottom of the lake here has dropped one to two hundred feet and the recent discovery of a huge six by three mile area of humping of the lake bottom a mile off the Toronto islands has raised questions about the future of this area. Over the past three centuries this lake has demonstrated an affinity for bizarre and mysterious events and has earned the reputation as the "Mother of Mysteries" and it would seem there is still much to be learned from her.

Be Careful What You Wish for and Who You Invite Into Your Home in the Dead of Night!

If you consider the billions of stars that have billions of planets in the vast galaxies of the universe you can sort of figure out there are a few good chances not only that we have visitors from other places, but most likely multiple kinds of different life species visiting this planet.

In this universe there seems to be a positive and negative to all things. Dark and light, matter and antimatter, good and evil - you get the idea. I am sure this average of things follows along with other beings in this cosmos. I am sure just as on this planet with earthlings that there are good and bad aliens having both good and bad intentions towards others sharing the same universe.

Look at earth and the humans. We cannot get along on our own planet. I am sure for many others who may have evolved to a point of growth where they do not kill each other - our planet is extremely primitive. I am sure there are areas of the universe where solar systems exist that work and live in harmony.

I also think there are areas that contain creatures as violent and ruthless as humans. I think we all exist, all are part of the big picture and we humans are simply not smart enough yet to understand it all.

With the warm weather coming in my part of the world I have been hearing whispers of plans of those who are interested in the subject of UFO’s and aliens making plans to gather together and go UFO hunting.

I think that keeping a watchful eye on the sky is a good thing to do. In fact, I think if you watch long enough you will without question see something unknown and unexplained.

I also have heard about those who want to alone or in a group try to attract aliens so they can have a visit with them.

This is where I become concerned, and this is where I have to drop my two cents down on the idea of calling out to the unknown with open arms.

I have been told about groups planning to meet on beaches, along open fields, in mountain ranges - all with the intention of drawing aliens to them. I have been told of groups planning to use group telepathic methods, all the way to using codes or flashes of light.

I understand the overwhelming desire to want to know the unknown, but I also know that these practices are not safe, and in fact could be very dangerous.

Going back to my understanding of how this universe seems to be set up, I will remind you that as sure as you are that there are aliens visiting us with good intentions, there are also those who simply do not care one way or the other about our needs or desires, and even others who would scoop you up to never be seen again.

I wonder if those who are inviting the unknown into their lives also open up all the windows in their house, throw all the doors open – unlocked before going to bed?

I wonder how many of the people reaching to alien contact simply open up their homes, cars, kid's rooms, older parents' houses, and leave it to fate to see who walks into their lives? Chances are a neighbor you know may wander by, or a nice guy who likes to collect ant farms.

Maybe a number of nice lovely people will end up sitting in your living room, however, chances also may be you find a deranged, deadly, dangerous, wild man or a distraught woman who enjoys hanging kittens sitting on the end of your bed!

It would be a dangerous ,crazy thing to keep a open home offered to anyone who passes and it is a dangerous thing to invite other species from the unknown into your life without proper precautions.

I am curious on how you can tell what kind of alien you are hailing? What makes humans think that only the good ones will answer their call? How do you know what will respond to such invitations? What is your plan to deal with something from the unknown that you may find standing in front of you on a lonely beach, road, or hilltop that may not be friendly or kind?

I know that many types of intelligent life forms had to develop throughout the universe. I also am aware we are on the lower level of the intelligent being ladder. As I always tell my fellow earthlings, before you feel all knowing and powerful remember who is visiting whom!

I am sure among the many forms of intelligent life in our universe many are kind benevolent beings curious to what we are doing on our planet. I read once that during an alien encounter a woman asked the alien standing before her what they thought of what we humans were doing to our planet. She claims the alien answered “It isn't what your doing to your planet that concerns us as much as what your doing to each other!”

I think that aliens are not humans. I think humans need to stop giving aliens human qualities and characteristics that belong to the human species. I encounter time after time groups of humans who try to mold aliens and alien intentions into human behavior or emotions.

Humans can no more expect an alien to think, act, or feel about life as a human does as we can figure out what they think or feel or accept as normal.

Simply understand an Alien is NOT a human – so stop thinking and wanting to treat them that way.

Aliens may not grasp pain, or love, or intrusion of personal space, or the idea that being taken against one's will is wrong. Aliens may not understand humans need to eat and have water requirements daily, or that giving birth is painful.

Aliens may not relate to mothers loving and wanting their own babies or families living together. Aliens may have no idea of personal choice or will – aliens are not humans, so do not anticipate your meeting one will fit in with any human-like agenda you have concluded in your wish to visit with one.

Encounters with aliens are encounters with those we know nothing about, who are not human. You must understand that. Be it good or bad, you are not going to meet a perfected human, you are going to meet something non-human.

I am aware I have said these things many times before, however, I am also aware that many simply refuse to use logic and common sense in this area, and continue to spin fantasy and want before reason, and safety when it comes to other life forms.

Wanting something is one thing - being logical and based in reality when dealing with the unknown is another. Do not confuse your love for a fantasy world presented via Hollywood and many fanciful media outlets as fact. Fact is staring dead into black eyes of a unknown creature and having no idea what to do.

Knowing our cosmic neighbors can, will, and for many already have been a wonderful adventure. It is a step on the way to belonging to our universal community for the human species.

I think this part of the growth in galactic belonging for humans' needs to be handled with care, and slowly as we are so vulnerable to those able to visit us while we sit stuck on our own planet.

It is only recently we earthlings have even thought about reaching past our own globe. We are being watched as we struggle, but we are far from equal to those who visit and watch our progress.

The main thing we need to remember is that just because our visitors are technically advanced and older than our species, does not mean they are kind god-like creatures with only our best intentions in mind. We have no idea what they think of, or what they intend to do with, or about us!

It is obvious as it stands we are at the will and mercy of those visiting us. It is also obvious that there is more than one type of being visiting us. It is fair to say we are completely ignorant to whom these visitors are and who are ones we should cozy up to and which ones we should be careful in dealing with. As it stands,we are clueless to these things.

Just as it is unlikely you are going to throw open your doors and windows in the dark of night while sending out inviting messages to whomever may wish to enter your home, it is unwise to call out to other beings inviting them into your world, lives and homes.

Just as it would be dangerous to do among your fellow humans, it is dangerous to do among your fellow cosmic neighbors. Can you be sure the nice guy down the street will show up with his wife and kids or the crazed, serial, ax murderer who has been hiding in the forest for the last 15 years? How would you know?

It also needs to be mentioned that it would be far easier once you did find yourself in a difficult position to defend against the ax murderer, as I am positive you would have no defense against our technically advanced universal visitors.

I realize everyone wants to know the truth. I understand the world is now starting to look past its own borders of this planet and wants to expand into this huge universe we belong to. I get it that we are anxious and really curious but people - you need to do this with intelligence and care.

I look at it this way. When we are ready as a species of beings we will be introduced openly to those who visit us. As we stand, well, we need a bit more work before we are cleaned up enough to meet the neighbors.

With the new cycles of the galaxy, solar system, and our alignment in them comes the road to the end of times for many things on this earth. We will see changes and hard days ahead, as well as the end of a dark period of hate and violence as we enter a new more balanced lighter time.

As we go down this road of the end of one cycle and the start of another, we will all have choices to make about how we will live, think, behave, and evolve. I think once we find our roads and begin anew, we will then be on our way to joining others who also are living and experiencing this universe along with us.

Until then, be careful whom you invite home to meet the family, and please be careful out there. There are many beings out there in this universe, and we are just one small part of it. Walk softly and slowly down your unknown roads. It is better to see the path clearly then to jump without care off the cliff.

Seeing the powerful earthquakes such as the December 26th, 2004 event that triggered the tsunami disaster, people are looking for possible causes for the apparent instability of earth's crust. "End-times" alarmists and backyard researchers believe that the predicted imminent reversal of the earth's magnetic field may be a significant clue to these eschatological-scale events.

Scientists have been observing changes in the direction of earth's magnetic field which took place recently as well as in the distant past. NASA’s website features a map showing the gradual northward migration of the north magnetic pole in the past century and a half. Since more than double the time interval has elapsed since the last reversal, compared to the time lapse between the previous two pole reversals, some believe we may be overdue for the next north-south flip. (1,2) However, though the interval between reversals of the Earth’s magnetic field can be as short as 5,000 years, it can also be as long as 50 million years. There does not seem to be any logic or rule governing the planet’s behavior.

It is not only the direction but also the strength of this magnetic field that is a concern. In the time of dinosaurs, at an estimated 2.5 gauss, it was eighty percent stronger than it is now. This may have been one of the reasons such gigantic life forms thrived. It is now accepted that a catastrophic event ended the reign of giant reptiles. However, they did not re-evolve to equivalent dimensions. And the disappearance of mammalian “mega-fauna” in more recent times is still considered to be a mystery. The mastodons and mammoths would have towered over modern elephants. Why are there so few large terrestrial animals today?

The smaller average size of modern animals may be due to the gradual decline of Earth's "steady state" (as opposed to “pulsed”) magnetism. Thousands of years ago the Chinese, with their astute discovery of bio-electrical energy flows known as “meridians”, learned that magnetism promotes vigor in biological life. They used magnetic rocks in medical treatment. In the past century there has been a further decline of earth's magnetic field by another five percent down to only 0.5 gauss. This has led Dr. Dean Bonlie to identify a "magnetic deficiency syndrome" resulting from the biological stress caused by the weakening of this "energy base" for life. (3)

The weakening of earth’s magnetism is one of the factors believed to be predictive of a pole reversal. That magnetic field reversals have occurred in the past is confirmed in the geological record. What is unclear is how precisely the transition occurs, and what happens to life forms extant at the time of this pole flip.

Does the magnetic field drop to zero gauss? Dire predictions follow upon the heels of this theory. Electronic devices would all be at risk: there may be damage to, or complete loss of, all near-earth-orbiting satellites and possibly the space station itself. Effects on life forms could range from migrating birds losing their sense of direction to immune system decline and even widespread die-off from radiation-induced cancers.

Losing its protective magnetic envelope, the atmosphere would expand and become thinner, possibly leading to altitude sickness near sea level. No longer filtered out, deadly cosmic rays would kill most if, not all, living creatures on the surface. Only those living in deep caves would be safe. This scenario has prompted some to build underground bunkers in hopes of surviving.

Countering this frightening vision, NASA predicts that, rather than declining to zero gauss, the magnetic field would become disordered. Thus we might for short time have more than one north and south pole on the planet. This official scientific stance says that the magnetosphere which shields us from cosmic radiation would not entirely disappear either. Thus, while communications would be erratic and perhaps at times completely inactivated, humans would find ways to survive. However, there are dissenters in the ranks, pointing to the vast South Atlantic magnetic anomaly and radiation damage to satellites over that region attributed to weakening of the protective magnetosphere. The disorderly-flip theory is supported by evidence from geology that in past reversals the decline was not total. Lava flows that solidified at Steen's Mountain during a lengthy reversal process show that the magnetic poles wandered across the equator three times. Though strength of the field was reduced to about 20% of maximum, there is no record that it fell to zero gauss during that transitional period. (5)

The theory that activity in the turbulent molten outer iron core of the planet generates its magnetic field currently dominates scientific thinking. Stormy activity deep in the earth's outer core, believed to be filled with roiling convection flows of molten iron, is understood to generate the planet’s magnetic field. Such violent seething could affect the mantle as well, possibly disturbing the earth's crust and causing the quakes.

However, there is an alternate theory of how the magnetic field is generated. In his article, "Origin of the Earth's Magnetic Field", Ernest McFarlane outlines gaps in the molten-iron convection theory. He proposes a system of electronic cells in a crystalline metal core with hot spots of heavy metals releasing alpha and beta particles. Due to the high heat the alpha particles are unable to combine with the free electrons. "Consequently an electron current flow is produced and conditions are set up for the generation of current loops throughout the inner and outer core. ... magnetic fields are produced as a consequence, in accordance with the right hand rule of electromagnetic theory." (5)

Which theory is right? We may find out from experience sooner than we can come to amicable agreement, given the conflicting theories and computer models. The actual dynamics may include aspects of both, or new insights not yet fully developed.

The sun reverses its magnetic field like clockwork every eleven years at the peak of the sunspot cycle. The next solar flip is due in 2012. South-pointing magnetic flux moves from sunspots, which are intense magnetic loops near the equator of the sun, along “meridional flows” to the north magnetic pole, and vice versa. As the oppositely-directed charge accumulates at the poles the field declines, until eventually the reverse charge predominates.

Scientists point out that the heliosphere does not wink out of existence during this reversal. The sunspots are intense magnetic knots, much stronger than the star’s main field, which continue to spiral outward even when the main dipole field vanishes briefly. Though the solar magnetic reversal is not completely understood, the Ulysses space probe has sent back detailed data which has supplied answers to many questions. (6)

The mechanism that controls earth's field reversals may not be based on similar principles. For one thing, a planet does not seem to have any equivalent to the powerful sunspots. McFarlane refers to there being more than one north-south pole system and about 10% of the total field being involved in smaller extra fields. If these subordinate minor magnetic fields take up more of the magnetic activity during the main field’s decline, they might become active enough to sustain a minimal protective layer shielding the biosphere, even if the main dipole field declines to zero gauss. This could be important for our survival, as the Steen’s mountain lava flows indicate that the reversal took 4,500 years to be completed! (5)

IMPLICATIONS FOR HUMANITY’S ENERGY NEEDS

Whether the magnetic field is primarily molten-metal flow dynamics or electron current loops, or a combination of those and other factors, a magnetic pole reversal may be of significance to the search for clean energy generation and transportation. If earth magnetic anomalies become more frequent or are concentrated in certain areas, we could see disruption of existing electrical grids, even without the dramatic atmosphere expansion and radiation damaging to life and computers.

PES Network Inc. wants to encourage people in all geographical regions to participate in magnetic-pole data collection and reporting. A community-editable directory page at PESWiki.com has been created for this purpose. It is recommended that you first establish a “base line” by determining the accurate magnetic north reading for your location, and report the number of degrees and direction of any deviation from this norm. If you are able to access equipment to determine field strength as well, this additional data would be of interest too.

This data may be useful in helping inventors and researchers test the tolerance of Zero-point technologies, magnetic motors and other new generation systems in adverse situations. As we may have to live through ongoing magnetic disturbance for a long time, we will need to know whether the new systems will be robust under conditions of planetary pole reversal.

Ordinary citizens do not usually have access to instrumentation that would allow them to examine the deeper layers of the planet, nor the high atmosphere, nor the magnetospheres in space. However, if many people collect observations on magnetic field direction from different locations across the continent of North America, and indeed around the world, this data may become relevant in more ways than feeding "end-time" theorizing.

The subject is complex, and whichever scenario may be about to occur, some individuals have been taking note of unusually large fluctuations in the apparent position of the magnetic north pole. Using a large, stationary, home-built compass, one individual in western Canada noticed a ten-degree variation within a few days. This was so unusual that, concerned about a sudden pole shift, he described and published his observations, and asked for input.

No one else was seeing this rapid "pole shift".

On borrowing a very sensitive water-filled portable compass and quartering the area, he discovered that this was indeed a highly localized anomaly in which his domicile happened to be situated dead center. See his recorded readings at the link below. (8) He is now theorizing that the phenomenon may be a vortex related to the nearby extinct volcano Mount Ida. (9) Vortices have been known to occur in volcanic mountain areas, and in the past some have become tourist attractions.

Individual observations are of value, but need to be balanced by additional data from a much wider geographical area. Thus alarms about sudden general "pole shift" may be put to rest, and anomalies studied for what they are.

Ted Twietmeyer is one of those calling for volunteers to join in a non-profit effort (10) to track the magnetic pole shift -- or apparent pole shift. Summaries and links to this data would be appropriate for the above-mentioned PESWiki directory.

The Haunted Railroad Crossing

Just south of San Antonio, Texas, in an unremarkable neighborhood not far from the San Juan Mission is an intersection of roadway and railroad track that has become somewhat famous in the catalog of American ghost lore. The intersection, so the story goes, was the site of a tragic accident in which several school-aged children were killed - but their ghosts linger at the spot. And the curious from all over the country come to this section of railroad track to witness firsthand the paranormal phenomena they've heard takes place there.

The story - at least 20 years old - is the stuff of urban legend and its details vary from telling to telling, but this is essentially it:

Back in the 1930s or 1940s, a school bus full of children was making its way down the road and toward the intersection when it stalled on the railroad tracks. A speeding train smashed into the bus, killing 10 of the children and the bus driver. Since that dreadful accident many years ago, any car stopped near the railroad tracks will be pushed by unseen hands across the tracks to safety. It is the spirits of the children, they say, who push the cars across the tracks to prevent a tragedy and fate like their own.

The Alien Types?

ALIEN TYPE 1: The Greys. Of this type there are several subtypes. All tend to appear greyish in color and for this reasons are referred to as "greys."

GREY TYPE A: This is the type most commonly referred to as the greys. In ufology, Greys, also known as Roswell aliens, Zetas, and Reticulians, are aliens or extraterrestrial life forms that appear in purported modern-day encounters and other UFO-related paranormal phenomena. Also known as Zeta Reticuli from the Zeta Reticulan star system (the Bernard star) neighboring the Orion area. They function in a mode that is apparently military in nature with a rigidly defined social structure that holds science and "conquering worlds" to be the prime movers. They are normally about 4.5 ft tall with large heads and black "wrap around" eyes. They have limited facial features, slit mouth and no nose to speak of. They have evolved beyond the need for reproductive systems or digestive systems and reproduce by cloning. Their genetics is partly based on insectoidal genetics.

Their science deals largely with the study of other life forms and genetic engineering. They have supposedly had a part to play in the alteration of human genetics over thousands of years. It seems that they Maybe trying to cross breed with humans in order to create a "mixture race" that would be better than either. (I've read that they are a dying species, that have cloned so much that now, with each successive cloning, the species grows weaker. They are trying to infuse new life into their species by creating the mixed breed.)

There seem to be two main social classes. One is the more hawkish and is more abrupt, crude and blunt. The more dove-like ones are more refined and capable of a more businesslike behavior toward humans, and prefer to use more "diplomatic" behavior to gain control over humans'. This type of Grey is what I believe is being referred to as the "Orange" class of Greys.

They seem to be emotionless (by human standards) and therefore are seen as cruel in their treatment of human beings. They are able to take human lives without any regard for that individual. They apparently can use certain substances of the human body for their sustenance and therefore appear to be carnivorous in regards to humans. (I also read that they extract fluid from some part of the human brain during intense emotional response [fear] and are able to use it like a recreational drug.)

It is my understanding that these greys are actually servants to a master race of reptilian-type aliens and are trying to prepare the earth for their arrival by gaining control over the earth through many means. They tend to enjoy the feeling of freedom they have on earth, away from their masters and would desire the help of humans in confrontations with the reptilians...which appears to be a consideration for the near future (mid 90's.)

GREY TYPE B: Tall Greys from Orion. Usually about 7 to 8 ft. tall (reports often exaggerate their height as being 9 to 12 ft.) with facial feature somewhat similar to grey type A with the exception of the large nose found on type B greys. These greys also have technologies that allow them to perform certain actions that appear "miraculous." These greys are less viscous Toward humans than type A greys (but are still considered "hostile".) They tend to influence more through political controls and negotiated agreements with those in power.

GREY TYPE C: These are the shortest of the greys and tend to be about 3.5 ft. tall. Their facial features are very similar to the Zeta Reticuli greys and are of the same "root race.". They are just as hostile to humans as the Zetas. They are from a star system near the shoulder of Orion called Bellatrax.

ALIEN TYPE 2: THE REPTILIANS:A genetics akin to reptiles, these are highly advanced entities but viewed as being of a negative, hostile or dangerous disposition since they regard humans as a totally inferior race. They would perceive us much the way we would perceive a herd of cattle. They are carnivorous in regard to humans. There is supposedly a "driven" planetoid or an asteroid inhabited by 30 million of these lizard-folk that is to enter our solar system in the mid 90's if the present schedule is kept.

They consider earth to be their own ancient outpost and would expect to have complete control of the entire planet upon their return. Their own planet is becoming unable to adequately support life and they need somewhere else to live. These are the aliens who are served by the type A greys.

ALIEN TYPE 3: HUMAN TYPE ALIENS

HUMAN TYPE A: These are of a genetic base similar to humans of earth. They appear of "normal" height (5-6ft) and tend to be fair-skinned with blonde hair. These entities have been abducted by the greys or are the offspring of abductees and have been trained by the greys as servants. These entities are totally subservient to the greys.

HUMAN TYPE B: These are aliens of similar genetics to earth humans and also, it seems, of the humans that serve the greys. These are from the Pleiades and are also of the blonde, fair-skinned appearance. This type is of a genuine highly evolved, spiritual, benevolent variety and have a kinship toward humans and are the only aliens to be truly trusted by earth humans at this time. They had at one time offered to be of assistance to earth leaders in dealing with the alien situation here but were rebuffed and so have taken a kind of "hands off" approach for the time being. These aliens are supposedly the forefather race of humankind. These are apparently not on earth much at this time due to serious problems in the area of their home.

HUMAN TYPE C: Very little is known about these. They are supposedly another of the highly evolved, spiritual type of great benevolence to earth humans. I understand that their appearance is similar to other human-type aliens. They are from Sirius and don't appear to be much involved with earth happenings at this time other than being concerned about the Grey scenario. They could desire to be of help to humans.

There are other known human type aliens of this "more highly spiritually evolved" nature that are apparently aware of the situation on earth and considering some possible course of action. These are from Arcturus and Vega.

ALIEN abduction is probably all in the mind, according to research presented today.

A new study supports the theory that people who claim to have contact with aliens are psychologically vulnerable to false memories.

Compared with other people, they also believe more strongly in the paranormal, and report experiencing more X Files-type activity, made famous by the programme starring Gillian Anderson (pictured) as Dana Scully.

Wales has been a hotspot for UFO sightings, including a spate of reports of extra-terrestrial experiences in 1977, which led to a government inquiry into strange goings-on in the so-called Broad Haven Triangle.

But research by Professor Chris French, head of the Anomalistic Psychology Research Unit at Goldsmiths College in London has suggested that this type of contact with alien life may be all in the mind.

Prof French carried out the study by comparing 19 alleged "abductees" and 19 random volunteers.

He found that in psychological tests, so-called "experiencers" scored more highly in a number of areas, including belief in the paranormal, a tendency to hallucinate, and "dissociative" tendencies which can lead to altered states of consciousness.

They were also likely to fantasise, and had a history of sleep paralysis. Like other paranormal experiences, such as encounters with ghosts, alien abduction is often associated with sleep paralysis episodes, Prof French says.

In this state, a sleeper wakes to find him or herself unable to move but aware of their surroundings. At the same time, dream-like auditory and visual hallucinations may occur.

Prof French, who will present his findings tonight at the Science Museum in London, said, "In the late 20th century, an increasing number of people around the world began to claim that they had had a most bizarre experience.

"Typically, they would report being taken from their beds or from their cars by alien beings."

These beings were often around four feet high, with spindly arms and legs and oversized heads.

"The abductees, or 'experiencers' as they prefer to be known, would describe how they had found themselves on board an alien spaceship where they were subjected to (often painful) medical examination, during which sperm or ova might be extracted.

"Although it is hard to estimate just how many people have conscious memories of this kind it is likely to run into at least several thousand worldwide."

The findings were backed by Professor Chandra Wickramasinghe, director of the Cardiff Centre for Astrobiology, who suggested claims of alien contact were derived from a desire to believe in extra-terrestrial life.

"It's some kind of instinctive need to link up with life outside Earth, but the experiences that are recorded by these people are factors of the imagination. They have had the sensation of an encounter, but it can not be quantified or substantiated."

Element 115

Bob Lazar stated that the “Sport Model” Flying Disc amplified the “Strong Nuclear Force” of Element 115 (UnUnPentium or UUP) to generate the gravity field for “Space-Time Compression.” Bob also stated that the U.S. Government had 500 pounds of Element 115 in their possession. The raw Element 115 was given to the U.S. Goverment at S4 by the Reticulan EBEs in the form of discs. The scientists at S4 sent the Element 115 discs through Groom Lake to Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, to be milled for use in the Anti-Matter Reactor. The Los Alamos personnel were told it was a new form of armor. They simply followed orders, milled it in accordance with the following steps, and sent it back to Groom Lake. It was during this process that some of the Element 115 turned up missing. As you’ll see below, the machining process to form the Element 115 wedge produces a tremendous amount of waste.

UUP - Element 115

Bob Lazar stated that the Element 115 used as the fuel and gravity source in the “Sport Model” Flying Disc was stable. On February 2, 2004, scientists at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, in collaboration with researchers from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Russia (JINR), announced that they discovered two new super-heavy elements, Element 113 and Element 115. The Isotope of Element 115, produced by bombarding an Americium-243 (95Am243) nucleus with a Calcium-48 (20Ca48) nucleus, rapidly decayed to Element 113. then continued to decay until a meta-stable isotope was obtained.

The following hypothetical reaction displays the maximum theoretical atomic mass of an Element 115 Isotope that could be produced from combining an Americium-243 nucleus with a Calcium-48 nucleus. The following reaction assumes no neutrons were liberated during the process of the reaction:

The maximum theoretical atomic mass isotope of Element 115 that could be produced in the reaction, above, 115UUP291, would only have 176 neutrons in its nucleus. This isotope of Element 115 is shy 8 neutrons from containing the magic number of 184 neutrons. The two actual isotopes of Element 115 produced by this reaction, 115UUP288 and 115UUP287 contain 173 neutrons, shy 11 neutrons from the magic number of 184, and 172 neutrons, shy 12 neutrons from the magic number of 184, respectively.

This latest scientific breakthrough, however, provides significant credibility to Bob Lazar’s claims rather than discrediting his claims. Bob Lazar’s Element 115 discs used to make the wedge for the “Sport Model” Flying Disc Anti-Matter Reactor would have to have been the isotope of Element 115 containing the magic number of 184 neutrons, therefore, having an atomic mass of 299. The nuclear configuration of this isotope of Element 115 would be identical to the nuclear configuration of the only known stable isotope of Element 83, Bismuth, 83Bi209, containing the magic number of 126 neutrons, except that the Element 115 isotope would have one more energy level completely filled with protons and neutrons. 82 protons and 114 protons are magic numbers for protons because 82 protons completely fill 6 proton energy levels and 114 protons completely fill 7 proton energy levels. The 83rd proton for Bismuth is a lone proton in the 7th proton energy level and the 115th proton for Element 115 is the lone proton in the 8th proton energy level. 126 neutrons completely fill 7 neutron energy levels and 184 neutrons completely fill 8 neutron energy levels. Apparitions - The term apparition is used for any kind of visual, paranormal related manifestation. The key word to remember is visual. A ghost can take the form of an apparition, like an orb or human figure that you can see. However, not all paranormal visualizations are ghosts. They can be in the form of trains, animals, and inanimate objects. Some apparitions of people might not always be a ghost, or spirit of a person. They might just be visions of things or people that were in that same location years ago. These forms of apparitions will not be conscious of their surroundings or of themselves. They are kind of like a holographic video of something that used to be there. This is called an imprint, and is caused by very dramatic and emotional events that become a part of the land and it's near surroundings. This is however, just a theory that I happen to agree with on certain forms of apparitions. Most professionals in paranormal fields will use the word apparition to describe all paranormal visualizations to keep things simple and avoid any confusion.

There are more than just one type of apparition. Here is a list of some below.

Crisis Apparitions - This is when a person is of course in or was in a crisis. Either they are dying or have just died and are appearing in spirit form to their family or other loved ones to send the message that they are are going or have all ready left the physical world. Some of these apparitions will point to their fatal injuries. Crisis apparitions can appear in peoples dreams as well.

Apparitions of the Dead - This form of course is the appearance of someones spirit that has all ready died. Usually to someone they were close to like family or others that are grieving for that persons soul. They appear in order to give information to their loved ones about unsettled or unfinished business that they feel should be taken care of.

Reciprocal Apparitions - In this case both the apparition and the person that sees it are still alive and remember seeing each other. Someone will be so lonely, worried, or missing the other that they will appear to that person in the form of an apparition and both will remember it happening. They can also be called ghosts of the living. This is a good example of how powerful the human mind and will actually is.

Deathbed Apparitions - An apparition that appears to a dying person, very close to the time of their death. They can be of dead relatives, angels, or biblical figures.

Apparitions have been thoroughly studied by parapsychologists and other paranormal researchers since the 19th century.They can vary and can hold different characteristics. Some are very lifelike in their movements and looks. Others can be transparent, and fuzzy with jerky, puppet like movements. Others can be even less lifelike and appear only as patches, or other forms of light. They can visualize very suddenly and then disappear in the same manner. Every apparition has it's own special qualities. Some can come with smells, some can make sounds, and others can just make gestures to get someones attention or communicate. Some people that have witnessed an apparition have actually tried to touch them. The majority of those individuals learn that their hands go right through the ghostly visions. In a few incidents however the percipient that have been able to touch them have felt a substance similar to a thin, flimsy fabric.
About every four out of five apparitions seem to appear for a reason. One of those reasons is to tell of the deceased persons own traumatic experience and/or death. Another is to give comfort to a family member or friend that has lost someone. Sometimes they just want to give important information to help the living as well. It may be that the other 20% of apparitions that do not seem to have a specific purpose are either imprint apparitions or have other matters to attend to that is unknown to the witness.

Hauntings

Hauntings are when one or more ghosts are seen, heard, or felt on more than one occasion in the same dwelling. Often the reason why a ghost haunts a home is because the spirit had lived in that home before it died and either chooses to stay in that home or somehow its spirit may be trapped there. Ghosts will often be discovered in places where tragedies have occurred. Places where war and murders have taken place are often found to be haunted. It seems as if tragedies can trap a spirit to the surroundings of the incident. The spirit or spirits that haunt a dwelling will usually leave if they get what ever it is that they want, if there is something they want. Some examples of a ghosts needs is to get a specific message across to the living. If the ghost was murdered they might want the public to know who did it. Another example is that the spirit might want you to do something for it that it can not do for itself because it no longer has a body.
Just about any kind of building can be haunted. Some examples of places that have been known to be haunted are libraries, hotels, mansions, colleges, hospitals, theaters, and stores. A haunting can be as short as a couple of days to as long as hundreds of years. A haunted location is a good place to pick up some EVP (electronic voice phenomena) if you leave a tape recorder on in a room where it is quiet. If you want to learn about EVP check out our EVP page. If you are just interested in getting the ghosts to leave you can have your house blessed or even try something simple like asking the spirits to leave. Surprisingly, it works a lot of the time. If the hauntings are getting out of hand and all else fails, you might want to get some experienced help. If the haunting is being caused by actual spirits and not by imprints, an exorcism will probably be effective.

Some signs that a dwelling is haunted are when doors are opening and closing by themselves, objects become missing and then reappear in strange places, you hear noises that seem to be coming from nowhere, and lights turning on and off by themselves. There can be apparitions of people, animals, and objects during a haunting but they are rare. People that visit or live in a haunted dwelling may sense a strong feeling of either negative or positive emotions. Some of these emotions are hate, anger, love, and pain. Every spirit is different just as every living person is different. Not everyone in a haunted location will experience the same thing, even when they are in the same room at the same time. One theory for this is that it takes a person of a certain level of psychic awareness, or sensitivity to experience things on a spiritual level.
Most ghosts and hauntings are harmless. Sometimes they even seem shy of the living. Ghost hauntings tend to cause a lot less destruction then a poltergeist will. During a haunting you might get the feeling that someone is watching you. That's because someone is watching you, just not someone of the living. It's a creepy feeling but they don't usually mean any harm. To the ghost or spirit that haunts a home, you are the visitor and they are the original resident, since they might have been there a lot longer than you have.

ESP (Extra-Sensory Perception)

Extra-Sensory Perception or ESP is any, all, or some of the five senses working on a paranormal level. ESP brings about information that has to do with the past, the present, and the future in a way which is scientifically unexplained. It has also been called a "hidden sense" and also "telesthesia". In modern parapsychology, ESP is called "psi" which refers to clairvoyance, telepathy, and psychokinesis. ESP happens often to mediums during possession, certain cases of apparitions, poltergeists, and hauntings. It has also been known to happen in astral projection and near death experiences. Much of the occurrences of ESP are spontaneous and uncontrollable. There is a good chance that everybody at one time or another has had some experience of ESP. It's just only those individuals like mediums and other people that who consistently experience it that get the most attention. Those that do have a high ESP level will experience more of the paranormal world than the rest of us because of their high sensitivity of it. The three parts of ESP are all written in depth below to explain there differences and relations to each other.

Clairvoyance- The ability to visualize things like people, places, and objects that one can not see with their normal vision. It is also known as "ghost vision", and "second sight". This gift of vision can and does happen suddenly and spontaneously. Clairvoyance can be triggered purposely through many techniques like breathing in or ingesting particular substances. Also by fasting and by magical rituals. Clairvoyance can happen in dreams, be seen by the inner eye and by something called "traveling clairvoyance" which is where it is experienced in an "out-of-body experience" or OBE, sometimes traveling to other realms and dimensions where spirits dwell.

Telepathy- To communicate by means unexplained by science, from one persons mind to another. These thoughts can be of ideas, feelings, images, and sensations. Telepathy tends to happen the most in situations of crisis. Someone will become aware of another persons tragic situation without any help of their normal senses. This can happen between people and animals as well. Just like clairvoyance, telepathy can occur in dreams. Caffeine is said to have a positive effect on telepathy, while other drugs have a negative one.

The term ESPwas created by a researcher named J.B. Rine, a parapsychologist of the early 20th century. He also came up with the theory that telepathy and clairvoyance are the same ability manifesting in two different ways, after performing many tests at Duke University.

(PK) Psychokinesis - A paranormalability that can affect physical objects from afar. The word psychokinesis is interchangeable with Telekinesis. It can happen all of the sudden or be used at will. It is the human mind controlling , moving, levitating, and changing shapes of material things. PK or TK can even bring about the outcome of events. Mediums, since many posses the power of ESP, use it often. All of the table-tipping, levitation's, rapping noises, and even the materialization of ectoplasm is likely to be caused by psychokinesis. A form of PK is Teleportation,which is the mind causing objects to move a good distance, causing objects to pass through other solid objects, and the ability to make things materialize and dematerialize.This , along with other PK phenomena happen often in poltergeist cases and hauntings. PK can be negatively affected by boredom and anxiety.

Vortexes

A vortex can be either a funnel shaped mass of light that is found in pictures along side of orbs, or can be a circular, whirling mass of energy and light which seem to be sucking inward due to an impression around the center of the phenomena. Funnel shaped vortexes are usually seen in photos(especially with orbs), where as the larger, circular vortex can and has been seen by the naked eye. These strange, and fascinating phenomenas happen suddenly and disappear just as fast. Some witnesses of vortexes have even seen landscapes and buildings that may be from another time, dimension, or even both. People have been afraid to step into them for fear of not coming back, which may very well happen considering how unpredictable and brief they are. Orbs have also been seen going in and out of them in videos which is why vortexes are also referred to as portals. Another characteristic that comes with vortexes is a loss of time, much like the kind people experience when encountering UFO's. Others will feel as if time has simply frozen, or no longer exists.
Some people say that vortexes form in places where there is a high amount of paranormal activity, like Stonehenge in England, the Bermuda Triangle, and other places of paranormal phenomena. Some label these areas as Warps. In a warp you can expect just about anything to happen. All kinds of paranormal phenomena can come from them. Vortexes may explain why so many people have vanished in the Bermuda Triangle. Those people that disappeared may still be very well alive, just not in this time, or dimension. If you do ever encounter a vortex, I recommend attempting to photograph it, but never walking into it. You may become lost forever.

Automatic writing- A form of writing that is done when a persons conscience is in a spiritual state and their writings origin is of the messages of spirits from another dimension. The person writing obtains the information through the help of ESP.

Banshee - An omen spirit of Ireland an Scotland that are always female. She appears to warn of a future death in a family. Mostly in family's thats surnames start with "O" or "Mac". It is said that the Banshee appears flying and of course singing as banshees are also well known for.

Channeling - Communication of automatic writing or speech with all kinds of spiritual beings or even with a Higher self. It is achieved by being in a trance of some kind.

Ectoplasm - A strange, paranormal material that flows out of any orifice and opening of a mediums body during a seance, or contact with the dead.

Exorcism - The removal of a demon, ghost, or other spiritual being from the body of a human being.
